A lil switcheroo

So today we woke up to go talk to a travel agency about the cheapest bus service from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu for the 18 hour ride, which we were not looking forward to. Somehow we decided to splurge a bit and went with a flight instead. So right now we are in Puerto Iguazu and did an hour and a half flight instead of an 18 hour bus ride! Amazing. We actually splurged twice by going with another flight from Puerto Iguazu to Salta on Wednesday, which would have been a 30 hour bus ride and instead will be about a 2 hour flight.

For our last hours in Buenos Aires we went to La Boca which is an area with bright colored buildings, live dancing and small street fairs. Then we headed back to our hostel tried some “mate,” which seems to be a slight addiction to Argentinians which is like a hot or cold tea. They walk around everywhere holding a thermos with dried leaves and drink it out of a metal straw from a hollow gourd.

One thing I must say I'm very impressed with is the cleanliness of South America overall and all the hostels that we have been staying in. Me like! Iguazua Falls tomrorow!
