I will survive
Last night we went to dinner at a cute cafe and I was starving from not eating during the whole bus ride so I got a burger. I know this sounds lame but they were Argentinean style burgers and they put a cooked egg, ham and bacon on the burger and if anyone knows me, you know I can't resist a good ol juicey burger. After that we booked our tickets for the futbol(soccer) game on Sunday through our hostel, this is cool because a lot of the people we met here are going as well. After this we headed to our sister hostel to take a tango dance class. I had a great time, the teachers were great, and we learned a whole routine with a partner. Then at the end of class we made a circle and they had us each perform with our partner.
Then we went back to our hostel and drank for a bit with our “roomates” trying to pass the time for when the party started at our hostel. Around 1am we headed downstairs to our hostel party and that ended at around 2am. We then went to Club 69, in an area called Palermo which was a blast. It was great to be around locals and travelers to talk and dance the night away... dancing the night away literally meaning we left the club at 5:30am. Got back to our hostel and went to bed. Great night numero uno!
Today we woke up and were planning to go on a tour of the city but kinda overslept so we arrived to the tour late which was no biggie. We did a little tour of the city on our own. We walked to an area called Recoleta, and went to the Cementaro de Recoleta, which is the cemetery where Evita is buried. This cemetery was huge, it was like a city and the tombstones were like monuments they were so big!
Then we had lunch at a cute little brewery, walked around a bit more checked out some shops in an area which would probably be the equivalent to fifth avenue. After that we went to a pedestrian walking area with shops and cafes and walked around for a bit, passed a theater district and we are now back at the hostel trying to rest up for another big night. The sister hostel to ours is having a party and then we most likely will go out for another long night on the town. I am loving this city!
