Buenos Aires I have arrived! 14 ½ hour bus ride later we made it! Before leaving our hostel in Mendoza we finished our bottle of Malbec and had another few glasses with some other people who were staying there. Then we got a taxi to the bus station arrived just in time, a bit tipsy and we were on the road. The bus pretty much drove straight through with a few stops at other stations to pick people up. Any stop they had I made sure to get off and stretch and move around a bit. We got the bus with semi-cama seats, so they reclined almost the whole way back and had little foot rests which made the trip a bit more bearable. I slept probably for 9 hours off and on and read and wrote in my journal the rest of the way.
We just got to our hostel which is so big and looks like so much fun. The staff is so friendly when we arrived and they tried to download “Empire State State of Mind”, by Alicia Keys and Jay-Z but couldn't find it so they will play it for us before we leave, that now being “our song”
They were prepping us for our time here saying that this is an awesome party hostel and Buenos Aires is the party city. People usually go to dinner around 11pm, clubs don't open till 2am and last till about 7am! Then people sleep mostly during the day and do it again!
One thing they said we really should try to do is go to a futbol game. We were planning on leaving Sunday but there is a game Sunday so we have to decide what we are going to do.
Now I gotta go shower, which I'm super excited about and get ready for our first day in Buenos Aires!
Adios
