Today we woke up a bit later after a late night out. We headed to Puka Shell Beach and hung out there for a bit, then headed back to Lugutan to spend time with the Ati's.
When
we arrived they were so happy to see us again. We played games and
tried teaching them songs. We did the limbo, “if your happy and
you know it”, we taught them duck duck goose, red light green
light, “head shoulders knees and toes”, all while trying to teach
them English basics, like numbers, body parts and commands. We also
tried to do relay races, which didn't work out as well as we had
planned, but they still had a blast.
When
we left, we gave them silly bands. They were so excited, they
started trading them for different colors and shapes. They were sad
to see us go, and asked if we would be back tomorrow, but sadly we
had to tell them we were leaving the next day. I wish more than
anything I could stay longer to spend more time with them and help
their village.
